The Uppsala University Behavioral Facility (UUBF) is a research infrastructure facilitating, assisting, and supporting preclinical behavioral studies and various aspects of laboratory animal research.
This includes planning, performing, analyzing, and interpreting behavioral studies in mice, rats, and fish, and studies using viral vectors in mice and rats for neurological or genetic applications. We offer access to a wide variety of equipment for behavioral studies and laboratory facilities, including a biosafety level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory for the use of viral vectors for e.g., chemo- and optogenetic, as well as neuronal tracing tools. We offer workstations with software for recording and analysis of behavior with the option of integration with optogenetic manipulation, and data processing and statistical analysis with parametric, non-parametric, and multivariate methods.
