User Registration (for PI registration, see below)

  • The registration process often takes several days and involves several steps for both you, your PI, the support team and for the facility. Therefore, it is recommended to register well before you want to use the instruments.
  • The PI of the lab needs to register before any of the members of the lab can register. If your PI did not register yet, please ask them to register before you can continue (see instructions below).
  • Once the PI has registered, click on the "Registration" link in the top-right corner. If you have an Uppsala University account, you have to use SWAMID login so select UU credentials. If you belong to a university with a central iLab installation, you should use the credientials there to log in. Otherwise register a new iLab account.
  • Fill in the details. It is important that you select the lab of your PI. If you cannot find it, then please see above.
  • Ask your PI to accept you in their lab on iLab (they can find instructions for this below)
  • E-mail the facility (cryoem-icm@uu.se) and tell us that you have registered. This is improtant since we will have to add you to the correct pricing category before you can use most of the features in iLab. Also, if you have been trained to independently operate instruments, we will then unlock the self-use booking calendars for those instruments.
  • Once you get the confirmation from us, you should be able to request consumables and make instrument reservations.
